“The International Festival of Romani Film AKE DIKHEA? is a festival of films by and with Romani people, which takes place every year in Berlin since 2017. It presents the world from the perspectives of Romani people and asks the questions, how do we see ourselves and how do we want to be seen? The 8th International Festival of Romani Film AKE DIKHEA? will open its doors on 21st October 2024 and takes place for seven days. This year as in previous editions of the festival we aim to promote the visibility of Romani perspectives and the counternarratives that exist in resistance to prevailing racist media discourses.
