“Acrobatics under domes, courtly dance in the castle, cocktails under dinosaurs – in the Long Night of Museums, a lot is different than in normal museum life. Doors open that are otherwise closed, interesting guests come, and anyone who wants to can dance, draw, try a quiz and much more. Musical entertainment, snacks and drinks are also provided in many places. Between 70 and 80 museums take part in this very special evening – the world-famous houses on Museum Island as well as museums in the countryside, art houses and technology museums, planetariums and castles. Berliners in particular take this opportunity to finally get to know some of their museums. With offers for children and guided tours in English, the Long Night has something to offer everyone. …”
