Summation: Each autonomous and yet together
Exhibition to mark the 25th anniversary of the Nordic Embassies Berlin

“Summation features works by ten leading Nordic artists who address the interplay between individuality and community. Alongside explorations of human nature, temporality, memory, and emotion, it invites viewers to reflect upon their own place in the world and to activate their potential as creative innovators of our common future. The exhibition, which marks the 25th anniversary of the joint Nordic embassy complex in Berlin, reflects upon Queen Margrethe II of Denmark’s words »Each autonomous and yet together«, formulated in 1999 as the guiding principle for the embassies’ unique collaboration in their united premises. This sentiment not only speaks to diplomatic co-operation but also to unity amongst individuals.
