Berlin winter
The Berlin winter is a bit special. In some years you can sit outside until the end of November and/or from mid-January until late in the evening. But in other years it’s just exhausting. You get the feeling that there’s one big gray cloud hanging over the city from November to February. Every now and then it rains, or it drizzles or the humidity is so high that you can’t really tell whether it’s raining or not.
And then there are always the beautiful, clear winter days with blue skies and pleasant temperatures.
Snow is a rather rare phenomenon in Berlin. Some years it snows for a few days – and you get the feeling that the city is in a state of emergency. The supposed masses of snow are then not cleared away for days and in some places a gray slide of frozen slush forms.
