November Rain – Rainy Days in Mitte
Sometimes the Berlin weather situation in autumn and winter can be a bit annoying. To say the least. Of course it has to rain every now and then – but sometimes the rain just won’t stop. And it might also be windy – so the rain won’t really respect the umbrella you might be lucky to be having with you. And with temperatures around 10°C this might become a perfect combination for a pefectly bad mood. And then you realize – hey, my mood is perfectly well reflected by the weather.
I must admit I also like it when the weather is like this. People are hurrying from A to B and showing off their bad mood and their rain wear: rain coats, umbrellas, rubber boots. And of course I also like the view when the TV-Tower is half way stuck in clouds. And the dominating color is grey. So grey. In all its beautiful shades.

Herbst Strelitzer Strasse Berlin
The Strelitzer Straße in one of those side streets that you maybe first don’t really cherish – but after a while yu discover it as an alternative – for example to the much more busy Brunnenstrasse.
Here’s another photo of “Golden October” in Strelitzer Straße – leafs are yellow, the street is rather quiet – the perfect time and space to enjoy a moment of autumn in Berlin.
Berlin Autumn (Brunnenstrasse, Mitte)
In October we had again a couple of very nice / sunny days. Here is one picture taken on such a sunny day, looking down Brunnenstraße towards Mitte. Perfect day for a nice walk.
Here in Berlin such sunny and warm autumn days are sometimes called “Golden October” – in the English speaking hemisphere probably better known as Indian Summer.

Subway Graffiti
You may think that the Berlin subway a.k.a. U-Bahn is quite a clean, maybe even boring environment. At least if you compared it for example to the New York subway of the 80ies and 90ies. At least when you think of Graffiti. But sometimes you will find trains ‘decorated’ with huge colorful Graffiti – some more, others less artistic.
I always enjoy it very much, when I see a Graffiti train passing – other than the Berlin transport service BVG, that is trying to keep the cars clean. But to me it’s always a moment of joy anyways.
